Job Description:
- Coordinate, assist and ensure the following occurs:
- Work with customer service to coordinate all outbound shipment to customers daily
- Stage outgoing shipments, to include: accuracy and consistency of paperwork, transportation detail, and removal from inventory
- Alert team members to any special loading configurations or customer delivery requirements
- Process Freight Orders
- Prepare bills of lading and all shipping documents daily
- Enter daily shipping transactions and inter-facility transfers, as required
- Print packing slips, track serial numbers applicable to daily shipments
- Communicate with trucking representatives to ensure compliance with our procedures and to rectify any issues which arise
- Compare identifying information and counts, weights and measure items of outgoing shipment to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
- Coordinate cycle counts and assists in quarterly physical inventories
- Be an excellent problem solver, fast learner, and quick and flexible in adapting to changing circumstances
- Perform other job functions as assigned
- Focus on facility and employee safety and compliance
- Coordinate with on-site supervisor
- Exchange of information regularly with managers, supervisors, employees, and contract carrier
- Advanced level knowledge of inventory software usage, shipping/receiving, motor transportation and warehouse distribution
- Billing of sales orders after shipment
- Ability to clearly communicate, set expectations, and follow up in a timely manner and the ability to multitask
- Track transfer inventory and ensure inventory accuracy.
Skills / Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with tissue converting experience, a plus
- Excellent safety, computer skills, and inventory knowledge
- Interpersonal communication, written communication, decision making/planning and operating data analysis
- Ability to implement change, problem solving using root cause analysis and manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Advanced level knowledge of inventory software usage, shipping/receiving, motor transportation and warehouse distribution, a plus
- Basic Knowledge of DOT regulations helpful but not required
- Strategic Thinking, Candor/Integrity, Innovation, Managing Others, Accountability
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Shipping Clerk or Supervisor within a manufacturing production environment
- Willingness to adhere to safety rules and regulations
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, QuickBooks highly desirable
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), a plus
- Availability to work shift work and overtime as needed
